Vana Paia- Sushi with an island twist

I’ll be honest, finding this place was a bit of a scavenger hunt! The entrance is very well camouflaged into its natural state, beautiful wood grain draped with plants housed this beautiful restaurant on main street in Paia, Maui.

When I strolled in, I was greeted with the sweetest staff who couldn’t wait to see what I would pick off their delicate menu of choices. From raw sashimi to fresh salmon bowls, I simply could not wait to see how photogenic-and delicious-these fragrant dishes were.

I decided to pick a selection from their appetizer menu as well as a bowl to get some fresh cooked options on the table and I was very impressed! Not only did the food look stunning, but the flavor was unmatched. The sauces and glaze was perfect, the quality of catch that was used was unparalleled, and the atmosphere was so welcoming!
