Who is Molly Khanna? Learn a little about me…

I began my photography journey as a young 8-year-old girl in Wisconsin snapping photos on family vacations with my older brother and dad. When we returned home and I showed my mom our adventures, the photos I snapped made my storytelling that much more lively and memorable! Through this practice, I pivoted to photographing friends when I was 18, and I began to get attention from those wanting a photographer for everything from family photos to seniors, maternity to newborns, pets to home spaces,  and eventually engagements, weddings, and elopements. If you’re anything like me, you love putting an image to a story and showing off your past memories to your loved ones for years to come! The best part about sharing is that you get to make memories of anything that you want, right NOW!  Everyone’s story is so special and personal, my specialty and favorite part of my work is getting to capture what you’d most like to remember, and having images that you want to tell stories about forever.

With over a decade of professional photography, I believe in providing a personalized experience for every client. I take the time to get to know you and your story so that we can capture your special moments in a way that is authentic and true to you. My goal is to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere so that you can enjoy your photo shoot and get the best possible memories to look back on for years to come! In 2021 I moved to Maui to capture commercial tourism spaces and adventures full-time, which brought about amazing opportunities, experiences, new friends, and the most scenic landscapes and sunsets I have ever seen! Now I have moved back to Wisconsin and serve the Milwaukee/Chicago area while continuing to capture couples who want either a traditional wedding experience or a more intimate adventure across the globe! 

As a passionate wedding photographer, I specialize in both local and destination travel, capturing romantic, joyful, and elegant couples. I understand how important and unique your special moments are, and my mission is to make you feel comfortable and true to yourself. Whether you’re having an intimate wedding, a luxury ceremony, or a global jet-setting elopement, I’m ready with my camera to capture all the raw emotions and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Q & A

What is your most favorite subject to shoot aside from couples? I love to photograph wildlife, food/drink, beautiful spaces, architecture, and landscapes.

If you had a dream day off, what would you do? Get a vanilla iced latte with almond milk or a dirty chai latte and go to estate sales or rummage sales! Go to a gorgeous lunch somewhere new, or explore a beautiful town or city; take in sites or attend a show/musical or stop at a museum. Exploring around for a dinner spot and people watching before the sun goes down also would be a wonderful bonus!

What is something that not a lot of people know about you? I’ve been to more countries than states in the USA. I am a traveler at heart, but global travel captures my soul!

If you were not a photographer, what job would you have? I have so many interests, there are so many things I’d love to do! Teacher (of anything, I am a fast learner), interior decorator, baker, professional organizer, dermatologist, nutritionist, writer, owner of a cat cafe, or zoologist.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you’d do? Find a way to help a majority of people, animals, and the planet somehow!
